Elan Barnehama’s first novel, Finding Bluefield, is a road trip through the 1960s that explores what happens when society’s invisible become visible. His writing has appeared in Boston Accent, Jewish Fiction, Route 9, Drunk Monkeys, Running Wild Press Short Story Anthology, Huffington Post, the New York Journal of Books, public radio, and elsewhere. He’s been a Writer-In-Residence at Wildacres Retreat (NC) and the Fairhope Center for the Writing Arts. At different times Barnehama has taught writing online and in person, was the fiction editor at Forth Magazine, worked with at-risk youth, was a ghostwriter for a university president, coached high school varsity baseball, had a gig as a radio news guy, and did a mediocre job as a short-order cook. While Barnehama currently lives in Boston, he is a New Yorker by geography and a tortured Mets fan by default.
