Meredith Goldstein covers entertainment and writes the advice column Love Letters for the Boston Globe. Her daily dispatch of comfort for the lovelorn turns nine in January, and inspired the memoir/essay collection, Can't Help Myself: Lessons and Confessions of a Modern Advice Columnist, to be published by Hachette/Grand Central on April 3, 2018. Goldstein is also the author of the forthcoming young adult novel Chemistry Lessons, which follows a teen scientist who uses research to fix a breakup. Her first novel, The Singles (2012), is about a group of dateless guests at a wedding. Goldstein was born in New Jersey, raised in Maryland, and lives in Boston with a David Bowie doll and a full-size cotton candy machine.
